Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Sonny moved to Shreveport at a young age. Sonny began playing drums professionally at the age of 15. He has performed with a number of well known musicians. Sonny's interests span from involvement in studio recording and trying his hand at song writing. Sonny and Liz Haynes formed the Memphis Stew Band, January, 1999.
